A House Full of Art and Creativity
We can fully express ourselves and use our hobbies purposefully with our private rental. Melanie is an artist. Everything colorful is almost certainly from her hand. Every room has one of her paintings, and even the hallways are full of genuine Kartnallers (her artist name, as it was her maiden name).
But it's not just Melanie who is creative – the whole family is! Our children, for example, designed the colorful garden bench at the playground. Guess what colors? Rainbow, of course!
Andreas, a true woodworking enthusiast and equally creative, expresses his passion for wood in all its facets. He taught himself everything and now gives entire apartments a stylish touch. But that's not all – he is a true all-rounder, and his versatile skills can be seen in every corner.
Artistic Creation? Is it All Art or What?
By the end of 2023, when we placed the colorful life-sized cows and the colorful deer on the terraces and even on the roof, everyone driving along Franz-Senn-Straße knew that we have a truly unique house.
A Truly Unique Experience
In 2024, the guesthouse was renamed Art-Apartments Kartnaller for a reason. This step reflects the thoroughly artistic design of the apartment house, which exudes a lot of personal flair and attention to detail from the owners. It almost seems predestined, as "ART" is already in the name "Kartnaller."
Who Has a Cow on the Roof?
Yes, we have a cow on the roof! We never thought that our wish to place a cow on the roof would actually be approved. Now you can see a cow standing on the roof from afar. From up there, she has a fantastic panoramic view. She is even illuminated in the evening.
A deer stands on our terrace and looks down Franz-Senn-Straße. That he glows in rainbow colors is thanks to our children – because those are simply our favorite colors. The cow on the 5th terrace is a real eye-catcher and proudly bears our logo. Emma, Kunigunde, or whatever the colorful lady on the terrace is called, welcomes the guests and is likely to be photographed very often.
A True Work of Art
How did we get the cow onto the roof? That was a true work of art! With the help of our brother-in-law, we hoisted her up with a pulley and an extra-built frame around the cow. Piece by piece along the long ladder until she was safely on the custom-made frame by Andreas.
Our Colorful Zoo Continues to Grow
The animals reflect our creativity and show our joy in color, art, and creativity. Everything in the house is also artistically designed by Andreas. And shall I tell you a secret? These are definitely not all the animals – the zoo around the house will certainly continue to grow.
